D. Gonçalo Mendes da Maia was a living legend of dedication to the motherland - Portugal. Became very early one of the greatest friends of the King of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques. The will of D. Gonçalo and its numerous and epic achievements in the field of battle have just earned him the nickname of LIDADOR.
